Moscow's Basmanny court has extended the arrest of captive Ukrainian pilot and imprisoned MP Nadiya Savchenko until June 30.

Savchenko's lawyer Nikolai Polozov wrote this on Twitter.

Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, Ambassador Yuriy Sergeyev said that hearings on the Savchenko case at the Basmanny court are the highest degree of lawlessness and harassment against her.

"Today's trial against Savchenko is the highest degree of lawlessness in Russia and harassment against a person, a woman and a parliamentarian with international immunity," he wrote on Twitter.

On Wednesday, May 6, the Moscow-based court declined to recognize member of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Nadiya Savchenko's immunity despite the fact that the PACE itself fully recognizes her immunity.
