Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Dmytro Razumkov says there are no legal grounds for early parliamentary elections in 2020.

"From the point of view of legislation, as far as I remember, this is not possible, because the parliament has immunity for a year," he said on ICTV when commenting on former Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy's words that the ruling party is considering the possibility of early parliamentary elections as soon as this year.

"Today we see a coalition – a mono coalition, a mono majority – whatever you call it, which passes bills and which works quite effectively," he said.

According to him, many bills have become laws thanks to the support of various political parties and parliamentarians' groups.

"For instance, I personally do not see any prerequisites today for the dissolution of the parliament – either from the point of view of legislation, or from the point of view of work effectiveness," he said.
