The Verkhovna Rada's Committee on State Building, Local Governance, Regional and Urban Development has recommended that parliament accept the resignation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.

The relevant decision was made at a committee meeting on March 4, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

It was noted the committee had received Honcharuk's letter of resignation.

The prime minister is dismissed from the date of the parliament's decision on his resignation.

The committee will also meet to consider the president's submission on the appointment of a new prime minister.
