Online service of ATO area entry permits launched by SBU

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) launched on July 06 an online register ( of the permits for passing the demarcation line in and out of the area of ​​Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) by individuals.

Following registration, persons intending to travel to ​​the ATO area will be requested to provide their passport data, information on their place of residence and registration, along with their valid photo.

Indication of a "purpose and direction of movement of persons in the ATO area" is mandatory.  Contact information of coordination centers and groups for submission of the documents is also available on the website.

 As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 3, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov stated that a pilot project on electronic entry permit system is being tested at one of the checkpoints on the demarcation line in the east of Ukraine.

 "The new system of entry regime in the ATO area is designed to save time and improve verification, as well as to eliminate corruption in permits issuance and reduce queues at the checkpoints," said Turchynov.

Earlier, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council stated that the electronic entry permit system in the ATO area would be launched on July 7.
