
"In fact, they have formed a quasi-state by today. But the process you are talking about is legitimization. If they had managed to resolve the issue of external observation, they would have held their own elections without the participation of Ukraine," he said.
In addition, Bezsmertnyi said that the leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics did not take any political decisions without being guided by the Kremlin, and they had actually not been participating in the negotiation process to settle the Donbas crisis.
"All that is done by these people – all they do, how they do and when they do – proceeds as they are told by the Kremlin," he says.
Earlier, Bezsmertnyi said that the negotiations of the Contact Group in Minsk constantly came to a standstill, as the opponents were literally laughing that there was no government in Ukraine, and Ukrainian politicians had got involved in a new struggle.
