Damage from Russian annexation of Crimea estimated at over UAH 1 trln
Ukrainian Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios announces that the Military Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine estimates the damage caused by the Russian annexation of Crimea at over UAH 1 trillion, or about $38 billion at the official forex rate, according to 112 Ukraine TV Channel.
"According to preliminary conclusions by experts, as well as estimates, the sum of the damage caused by the Russian annexation of the peninsula is more than UAH 1 trillion. It is only the cost of real estate and infrastructure of state-owned enterprises, without taking into account the loss of territory and private ownership on the peninsula," Matios said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Navy said that the damage from the annexation of Crimea amounted to $150 billion.
