European Council to consider Ukraine's visa-free issue on May 11
The Visa Working Party of the European Council on Wednesday will consider the European Commission's visa liberalization proposal for Ukraine to be followed by discussions at ministerial level on May 20, according to an UNIAN correspondent from Brussels.
"Indeed, there will be a meeting of the Visa Working Party tomorrow. This is a preparatory meeting at expert level. After this the issue is expected to be discussed at the level of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) next week," the report says.
The European Council also said that Ukraine's visa liberalization would be considered at ministerial level on May 20.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the European Commission on April 20 announced that it had put forth a legislative proposal concerning visa-free travels for Ukrainians.
