First Deputy Interior Minister Eka Zguladze has resigned, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote on Twitter.
"Eka resigned from the post of First Deputy Interior Minister. The Cabinet adopted the decision at her request. Eka will make a statement, do not spread rumors," Avakov said.
At the same time, he said that Zguladze had accepted his proposal and would continue to work in the MIA reform team, leading a special group of advisers.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Eka Zguladze as First Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs on December 17, 2014.
