Yelchenko also recalled that an indicative vote for the new Secretary General of the organization would take place soon: "We are beginning to work in the Security Council in July, chaired by Japan. It will be interesting – the first indicative vote for the future UN Secretary General, too many candidates."

As UNIAN reported earlier, Yelchenko said that Russian representatives at the UN Security Council exerted pressure on the other members of the organization during the voting of motions related to Ukraine.
