Chakrabarti and Poroshenko met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday, January 17, it said.
They in particular discussed the reform of the banking sector.
The EBRD head highly evaluated the Ukrainian authorities' operation to nationalize the country's No. 1 bank, PrivatBank.

Further, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation and implementation of investment projects supported by the EBRD.

The Ukrainian president also noted the key role of the EBRD as the administrator of the Chornobyl Shelter Fund and the Nuclear Safety Account. The sides agreed on further cooperation in that area.
