EU agrees to extend sanctions against Russia – Tusk

President of the European Council Donald Tusk has announced the EU member states agreed to extend sanctions against Russia.

"Agreed. EU will extend economic sanctions against Russia for their lack of implementing the Minsk Agreement," Tusk wrote on Twitter on Thursday evening.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said the EU sanctions would give an opportunity for Russia to start fulfilling Minsk accords.
