Poroshenko welcomes extension of sanctions against Russia
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has welcomed the decision of the ambassadors of the European Union to extend for another six months sanctions against individuals and companies that undermine territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine.
"I welcome the decision of the EU ambassadors to extend for half a year and expand the package of sanctions against Russia for the occupation of Crimea," he wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
"The burden of "Crimea is ours" should become unbearably heavy until Ukraine's sovereignty over the peninsula is fully restored," he tweeted.
