Ukraine's Anna Muzychuk ranks third at European Rapid Chess Championship in Tbilisi
Ukrainian chess player Anna Muzychuk has taken the third place at the European ACP Women Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2018, which were held in Tbilisi, Georgia.
After eleven rounds, Muzychuk along with another Ukrainian Anna Ushenina, as well as three other chess players scored 8 points, the official website of the Sports Committee of Ukraine said.
The winner and prize winners were determined by additional indicators. In particular, the first place was assigned to Germany's Elisabeth Paehtz, Russian chess player Anastasia Bodnaruk became second. Muzychuk ranked third and Ushenina was fourth.
Muzychuk was earlier reported to have skipped the Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships in Saudi Arabia in December 2017 because of the way the kingdom treats women as "secondary creatures."
