Russia asks to visit more Russians held in Ukraine – Ukraine's Ombudsperson
Ukraine Parliament's Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova has said the Russian Foreign Ministry sent a note to Ukraine requesting that High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova be allowed to visit 50 detained Russians, rather than 34, as previously agreed.
"Our first stage is a visit of 34 people. But yesterday, we received a note from the Russian Foreign Ministry requesting that Moskalkova be allowed to visit 50 Russians," Denisova told Hromadske.
According to her, now this issue is under consideration of the Ukrainian side.
The Ukrainian Ombudsperson added there were no sailors from the Crimean-registered fishing vessel Nord in Moskalkova's list.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko repealed a ban on entry to Ukraine to High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova.
