The lawyer of illegally convicted Ukrainian film director Oleh Sentsov, Dmitry Dinze, as well as Sentsov's cousin Natalya Kaplan, are invited to accept the 2018 Sakharov Prize.
"So far, the plans are that only we will go," Kaplan said, as reported by the Ukrainian news outlet Hromadske.

According to Kaplan, a cash prize of EUR 50,000 is likely to be deposited in a bank account, where it will wait for Sentsov, or, if necessary, it will be given to his children.
"Of course, it would be ideally if Oleh accepted this award in person and managed this money," she added.
The award ceremony will take place in Strasbourg on December 12.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian film director Oleh Sentsov, who is imprisoned in Russia, was awarded the 2018 Sakharov Prize on October 25.
