Ukraine's major manufacturer of armored vehicles, Kharkiv-based Malyshev Plant, which is part of a state-run Ukroboronprom Concern, has produced over 100 upgraded 2017 model T-64 main battle tanks.
The machines are being supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The upgraded tank has expanded combat capabilities: modern night surveillance devices, new dynamic protection, Lybid K-2RB digital radio stations, as well as a satellite navigation system," reads a reportd on a Governmental web portal.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in January 2017, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Ukraine should carry out deep modernization of T-64 or T-80 tanks, since this process takes only 2.5 months against 18 months needed to produce a modern Oplot tank.
