A delegation of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) on Saturday, April 27, delivered the Holy Fire from the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem to Ukraine on the eve of Orthodox Easter.
Primate of the newly created Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epifaniy (Epiphanius) is expected to meet the Holy Fire in Kyiv's St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery, where everyone will be able to light their candles from it.

As was earlier reported, the Holy Fire descended in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem today, on Holy Saturday, the day preceding Orthodox Easter. It is considered a sanctity for believers, and its appearance is called a miracle.
