Detectives of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine notified the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, Ihor Nasalyk of suspicion of filing false information in the declaration of assets for 2015- 2018.

Upon the approval of the SAPO prosecutor, NABU detectives handed a suspicion notice to Minister of Energy and Coal Industry over filing false information in the declaration of assets for 2015-2018, according to NABU press service.

"The investigation established that in 2014, the suspect borrowed  $1.249 million from an individual. However, in violation of the requirements of Law of Ukraine 'On the Prevention of Corruption,' the official did not file this information in his annual declarations," the report says.

The actions of the official are qualified under Art. 366-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (submission of deliberately false information in the declaration of assets by state or local government official).

Nasalyk is facing a fine (2,500 to 3,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens) or community works for a period of 150-240 hours, or imprisonment for up to two years with deprivation of the right to hold certain posts or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
