On August 12 and 13, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has filed charges against five residents of the Olevsk district in Zhytomyr region in the case probing "illegal amber extraction" in the local forestry.

Law enforcers established that the criminal group had been organized by a resident of the town of Olevsk. He provided other members with motor pumps, vehicles, and tools, as reported by PGO spokesman Andriy Lysenko on Facebook.
