Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Infrastructure start preparations for the second evacuation of Ukrainians from China.

"We, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Infrastructure, are starting preparations for the second evacuation of our citizens from China," he said at a briefing following a meeting of the Foreign Ministry's operational headquarters to respond to the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in the world, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

"Now the Ukrainian Embassy is aware of 41 citizens located in [the Chinese city of] Wuhan, 10 of them have expressed a desire to evacuate," Kuleba said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, a plane on February 20 evacuated 45 Ukrainians and 27 foreigners, including those from Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Israel, Montenegro, Panama, amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus in China's Wuhan. The evacuees were placed at a health center in the town of Novi Sanzhary in Ukraine's Poltava region for 14-day observation.
