Number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Ukraine rises to 1,308 by Sunday evening

The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Ukraine had risen to 1,308 by Sunday evening.

"According to the Public Health Center, there were 1,308 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 identified with the use of PCR [polymerase chain reaction] in Ukraine as of 22:00 Kyiv time on April 5," Ukraine's Health Ministry said on Facebook in its evening update on April 5.

Thirty-seven COVID-19 deaths have already been reported in the country.

Twenty-eight patients have recovered, their repeat tests have been negative, the ministry said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 1,251 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine as of 10:00 Kyiv time on Sunday.
