"They were tried in Ukrainian court and received a court ruling on an administrative offense due to the [illegal] border crossing. At the moment, they are transferred to the Russian border guards," he said.

The Russian Federation confirmed their detention and said that the soldiers had found themselves on the other side of the border "unintentionally, without malice and without arms, without even knowing that they had crossed the border by just coming out of the train."
