"The situation is not critical, the city will be announced. I think it will happen before September," he stated on TV Channel 5 on Thursday.
According to him, Kyiv has the best chance of hosting the event.

"Two of the [shortlisted] three cities have considerable advantages – these are Kyiv and Odesa," he posted.
As UNIAN reported earlier, a briefing by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers to announce the Eurovision host city, which was scheduled for August 25, was cancelled.
Ukrainian singer Jamala won the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest held in Stockholm on May 14 with the entry titled "1944", based on the deportation of Crimean Tatars from Crimea. Next year's contest will take place in Ukraine.
