Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has named three regions with the largest number of COVID-19 cases reported in the country in the past day.

"In terms of the regions, the highest number of confirmed cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Lviv region (85 cases), Zhytomyr region (53), and the city of Kyiv (77)," he told a briefing on June 4.

In total, 14,301 tests were conducted in the country in the past day. In particular, there were 10,563 tests done with the use of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and 3,738 with the application of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method.

As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 25,411 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of the morning of June 4, including 747 COVID-19 deaths and 11,042 recoveries. Some 588 new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
