Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has listed three regions that are in the lead by the number of new COVID-19 cases confirmed in the past day.

"Speaking per each region, the highest number of confirmed cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Lviv region (149 cases), the city of Kyiv (132), Ivano-Frankivsk region (118), and Kharkiv region (78)," he said during an online briefing on July 29, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
In total, 31,201 tests were conducted in the country in the past day. In particular, there were 14,939 tests done with the use of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and 16,262 with the application of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method.
As UNIAN reported earlier, 1,022 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 were reported in Ukraine in the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 67,597 as of the morning of July 29.
