The number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine rose by one as of the morning of May 17.

In particular, an employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Khmelnytsky region is undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors. Now, his condition is satisfactory, and he receives the treatment required, according to the press service of the Medical Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 07:00 Kyiv time on May 17, some 38 people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have acute respiratory illness COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. A total of 76 recoveries and two fatalities have been recorded over the pandemic period," the report said.
Some 206 servicemen are now isolated (including self-isolation). The number of those whose isolation term is expiring in the next three days is 39 people.
As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 18,291 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:00 Kyiv time on May 17. Of them, 514 were lethal cases, 5,116 patients have recovered. Some 433 new cases were recorded in the past day.
