Ukraine reports two new COVID-19 cases in its armed forces as of May 16
The number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine rose by two as of the morning of May 16.
In particular, two employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Chernivtsi and Vinnytsia regions are undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors. Currently, their state of health is satisfactory, they receive the necessary treatment, according to the press service of the Medical Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 07:00 Kyiv time on May 16, some 38 people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have acute respiratory illness COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. In total, 75 people recovered and two died during the pandemic," reads the report.
Some 202 servicemen are now isolated (including self-isolation). The number of those whose isolation term is expiring in the next three days is 38 people.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Ukraine exceeded 17,800 on Saturday morning. A total of 497 COVID-19 deaths have already been recorded in the country. Some 4,906 patients have recovered.
