The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Ukraine exceeded 24,000 on Monday morning.

"According to the Public Health Center, there were 24,012 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:00 Kyiv time on June 1," Ukraine's Health Ministry said on Facebook in its morning update on June 1.

Of them, 340 cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

Overall incidence per region is the following: 1,005 cases in Vinnytsia region; 932 in Volyn region; 942 in Dnipropetrovsk region; 163 in Donetsk region; 742 in Zhytomyr region; 1,206 in Zakarpattia region; 447 in Zaporizhia region; 1,420 in Ivano-Frankivsk region; 514 in Kirovohrad region; 3,043 in the city of Kyiv; 1,600 in Kyiv region; 1,700 in Lviv region; 47 in Luhansk region; 294 in Mykolayiv region; 896 in Odesa region; 270 in Poltava region; 1,770 in Rivne region; 170 in Sumy region; 1,176 in Ternopil region; 1,083 in Kharkiv region; 178 in Kherson region; 454 in Khmelnytsky region; 3,377 in Chernivtsi region; 406 in Cherkasy region; 177 in Chernihiv region.

Data from Russia-occupied areas – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions – is not available.

COVID-19 tests were conducted by the Public Health Center's virological reference laboratory and regional laboratories. As of the morning of June 1, 2020, the Center had received 496 reports of suspected cases. In total, there have been 59,339 reports on suspected COVID-19 since the beginning of 2020.

A total of 718 (+10) COVID-19 deaths have already been recorded in the country. Some 9,690 (+152) patients have recovered.
