The number of members of Ukraine's State Border Guard Service who have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) grew to 181 as of July 29.

"In particular, nine new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, Lviv, and Zakarpattia regions in the past day," the State Border Guard Service said on July 29.

"Of the total number of military personnel and employees of the State Border Service who have tested positive for the coronavirus, 116 have already recovered. Another 63 patients continue treatment. Twenty-three of them are in hospital. Unfortunately, there were two fatalities," reads the report.

About 190 border guards who have been in contact with coronavirus patients are now under medical observation. They are either self-isolating or have been placed under observation in specially designated facilities.
