Kyiv and eight Ukrainian regions not ready for quarantine easing – health minister
Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says the capital city of Kyiv and eight Ukrainian regions are not ready for the easing of the quarantine-related restrictions, as the incidence of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases there exceeds the limit.
In particular, the city of Kyiv, as well as Volyn, Donetsk, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Odesa, Rivne, and Chernihiv regions are not ready for the easing of quarantine, the ministry said.
It is noted the daily incidence should be lower than 12 new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people in the last seven days to lift more quarantine-related curbs in the regions.
As UNIAN reported earlier, some 823 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 were reported in Ukraine in the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 48,500 as of the morning of July 5.
