Russia's hybrid military forces on Saturday morning attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 10 times with one Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action.

"From midnight until 9:00 on April 28, a total of 10 attacks mounted by Russian-backed militants were recorded," a speaker for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Maksym Prauta told a Kyiv briefing Saturday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

In the Luhansk sector, the occupiers opened fire from mortars of various calibers four times at Ukrainian positions near the villages of Luhanske and Novotoshkivske.

"In total, the enemy has fired forty 120mm and 82 mm mortar rounds on our positions as of 9:00," Prauta added.

The enemy also resorted to armed provocations, using mortars of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms near the villages of Talakivka, Hnutove, Shyrokyne, and Butivka coal mine, the speaker said.

"As a result of enemy shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded. He was rushed to a hospital and provided with medical assistance," Prauta said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on April 27, Russia's occupation forces in eastern Ukraine mounted 53 attacks on Ukrainian army positions with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action.
