Russian-led forces mounted 15 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the past day, July 21, resorting to proscribed weapons twice.

"The Russian occupation forces were shelling the defenders of the villages of Krymske, Prychepylivka, Mayorsk, Pisky, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Talakivka, and Shyrokyne. They also opened fire on the towns of Avdiyivka and Krasnohorivka," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in a morning update on Facebook on July 22. "What is more, the enemy resorted to 82mm mortars near Lebedynske and Talakivka twice."

"By their provocative action, the invaders tried to force the JFO military to fire back in order to further blame Ukraine for the failure to observe the ceasefire, "the JFO HQ said.

From 00:00 to 07:00 on Sunday, July 22, the enemy has already mounted five attacks on Ukrainian troops.

Hot spots on Sunday were Talakivka, Shyrokyne, as well as the villages of Krysmke, Vodiane, and Hnutivka.

No casualties among Ukrainian servicemen were reported over the period under review.
