Russia's hybrid military forces mounted eight attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA); no heavy weapons proscribed by the Minsk accords were used.
"Two Ukrainian soldiers have been wounded in action," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on October 27, 2018.
The enemy shelled Ukrainian positions near the towns of Avdiyivka and Krasnohorivka, as well as the villages of Krymske, Taramchuk, Pavlopil, Vodiane, and Hnutove.
"Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy fired on the Joint Forces strong points near Avdiyivka twice. The Ukrainian troops are holding their positions, keeping the situation under control and are ready to respond to drastic changes in the situation," the press center added.
According to intelligence reports, one occupier was killed and another seven were wounded.
Since Saturday midnight, Russian-led forces haven't attacked the Ukrainian positions yet, the report said.
