Russian-led forces mounted one attack on Ukrainian troops in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on December 22.

"In particular, the enemy opened aimed fire from a grenade launcher and a large-caliber machine gun on Joint Forces' positions near the village of Hnutove in the Mariupol sector," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 18:00 Kyiv time on Saturday.

No casualties have been reported on the Ukrainian side.

The situation in the zone of the Joint Forces Operation remains under control of Ukrainian troops.
