"Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire in Donbas twice from 00:00 to 18:00 Kyiv time, including once with the use of weapons proscribed by the Minsk Agreements," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in an update on Facebook as of 18:00 Kyiv time on Tuesday.

In particular, the enemy opened fire from 82mm mortars on the Ukrainian positions near the village of Hnutove in the Mariupol sector, as well as from weapons installed on an IFV-1 infantry fighting vehicle to attack the defenders of the village of Novotoshkivske in the Luhansk sector, the report said.

It is noted that to suppress enemy provocations, the defending units returned fire.

According to intelligence data, on January 1, two invaders were killed and another three were wounded.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 31, Russian-led militants violated the ceasefire in Donbas four times.
