Residential houses and a car were damaged, while segments of brick fences were completely destroyed in a recent attack by Russia's hybrid military forces on the town of Zolote in Luhansk region's Popasna district.

The video showing the terrible results of the attack with the use of heavy artillery and mortars, including banned ones, has been shared by local civil volunteers Yuriy Pecheniy and Svitlana Pecheniy on Facebook.

The incident happened at about 05:00 Kyiv time in the morning on Sunday, February 24.

"The day began dangerously," they wrote in the comment to the post.

As the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters said, Russian-led forces attacked residential buildings in Zolote-4 and Novo-Oleksandrivka from the temporarily occupied town of Pervomaisk, using 122mm artillery systems and 120mm mortars on February 24. In total, 34 shells were launched. Four houses were destroyed as a result of the shelling.

No civilian casualties have been reported.
