Donbas war update: Two Ukrainian troops injured in enemy shelling May 11
Over the past day, May 11, two Ukrainian troops were wounded in action in eastern Ukraine as Russian-controlled forces 11 times violated the ceasefire.
The Sunday morning report of the Joint Forces Operation headquarters says the enemy five times employed 120mm and 82mm mortars proscribed by the Minsk agreements.
Also, militants shelled Ukraine positions using grenade launchers of various types and opened fire from large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
Following each of the attacks, Joint Forces returned fire.
According to intelligence reports, on May 11, enemy losses are 1 KIA and 2 WIAs.
From day start on Sunday, the enemy twice opened fire at the positions of the Joint Forces.
No new casualties among Ukrainian military were reported.
As Joint Forces continue to return fire following enemy attacks, data on losses on the other side of the contact line are being verified.
As UNIAN reported earlier, a Russian mercenary, battalion commander at the 5th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 1st Russian army corps, Evgenij Shabaev (aka "Lun") was killed in Donbas on May 7.
