Russia's hybrid military forces on Wednesday mounted 42 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another nine as wounded in action (WIA).

"One Ukrainian serviceman was killed, another seven were wounded in action and two more sustained combat-related injuries amid enemy shelling. Each enemy attack saw an adequate response," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on July 11, 2019.

According to intelligence reports, seven enemy troops were wounded.

The Ukrainian armed forces used weapons that are not banned under the Minsk agreements.

Russian occupation forces opened fire from proscribed 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, anti-aircraft guns, anti-tank missile systems, cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and rifles.

Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the towns of Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, and Popasna, as well as the villages of Kamianka, Novotroyitske, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Pisky, Berezove, Shyrokyne, Hranitne, Bohdanivka, Vodiane, Mykolaivka, Taramchuk, Lebedynske, Krymske, Prychepylivka, Novotoshkivske, Luhanske, Pivdenne, Zolote-3, Novo-Oleksandrivka, Zolote-4, Novozvanivka, Khutir Vilniy, Novoluhanske, and Zaitseve.

"From Thursday midnight, Russia-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions six times near Taramchuk, Vodiane, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, and Luhanske, using 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and rifles. There have been no Ukrainian military casualties [on Thursday]," the report said.
