Russia's hybrid military forces on Thursday mounted 10 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another two as wounded in action (WIA).
"One Ukrainian serviceman was killed, another two were wounded in action. Each enemy attack saw an adequate response," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on July 19, 2019.
According to intelligence reports, one occupier was killed and another two were wounded.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces used weapons that are not banned under the Minsk agreements.
Russian occupation forces opened fire from proscribed 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and rifles.
Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the villages of Pisky, Troyitske, Kamianka, Vodiane, Pavlopil, Lomakyne, Pyshchevyk, and Mayorsk.
"From Friday midnight, Russia-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions once near the village of Shyrokyne, using rifles. There were no Ukrainian military casualties [on Friday]," the report said.
