Russia's hybrid military forces on Friday mounted three attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire three times on August 23," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 24, 2019.
The enemy opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems and small arms. Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the villages of Vodiane and Zaitseve.
According to the update, there were no casualties among the Ukrainian military in the past day.
From Saturday midnight, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions twice near the town of Maryinka and the village of Pavlopil, using a tripod-mounted man-portable antitank gun, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
