Russia's hybrid military forces on August 26 mounted 12 attacks on Ukrainian Army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action.
"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 12 times on August 26. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded as a result of enemy shelling," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 27.
The enemy opened fire from proscribed 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the villages of Vodiane, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Novoluhanske, Travneve, Shumy, and Luhanske.
"From Tuesday midnight, Russia-led forces have opened fire on Ukrainian positions once near the village of Talakivka, using a tripod-mounted man-portable antitank gun and small arms," the report said.
