Russia's hybrid military forces on August 31 mounted 20 attacks on Ukrainian Army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as sustained injuries of moderate severity.
"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 20 times on August 31," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said on Facebook in a morning update on Sunday, September 1.
The enemy opened fire from proscribed 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, cannons of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the villages of Vodiane, Pavlopil, Lebedynske, Novohnativka, Zaitseve, Travneve, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Shumy, and Troyitske.
"From Sunday midnight, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions once near the village of Mykolaivka, using heavy machine guns and small arms," the report said.
