Ukraine reports 11 enemy attacks in Donbas on Sept 6
Russia's hybrid military forces on Friday mounted 11 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 11 times on September 6," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on September 7, 2019.
The enemy opened fire from proscribed 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the town of Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Pavlopil, Vodiane, Lebedynske, Hranitne, Novotroyitske, and Orikhove.
According to the update, there were no casualties among the Ukrainian military in the past day.
From Saturday midnight, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions twice near the villages of Lebedynske and Novhorodske, using 82mm mortars, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
