Ukraine suggests OSCE monitors install internet cameras in Avdiyivka
The Ukrainian team of the Joint Center for Control and Co-ordination (JCCC) of the ceasefire and stabilization of the situation along the line of contact in Donbas has suggested that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine install internet cameras in the town of Avdiyivka in Donetsk region.
"To enhance the OSCE SMM's capabilities to monitor and verify the ceasefire, the Ukrainian members of the JCCC have suggested that SMM monitors consider the possibility of installing internet cameras in the town of Avdiyivka," the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service said.
What is more, a decision was made to locate an additional Ukrainian observation post near the village of Pisky to more effectively monitor how the ceasefire is being observed.
While visiting the ATO forces near Pisky recently, OSCE SMM monitors were able to communicate with the commanders of the units of the Ukrainian armed forces and see that, unlike illegal armed formations, the Ukrainian troops are making every effort to fully adhere to the truce, the ministry said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, prior to that, the Ukrainian side suggested that the OSCE SMM install internet cameras in the village of Shyrokyne to monitor the ceasefire.
