Russia's hybrid military forces on September 17 mounted 11 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another two as wounded in action (WIA).

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 11 times on September 17. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another two were wounded in enemy shelling," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on September 18.

The enemy opened fire from proscribed 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, and small arms. Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the villages of Novotroyitske, Vodiane, Pavlopil, Lebedynske, Zalizne, Novotoshkivske, Novoluhanske, and Luhanske.

"From Wednesday midnight, Russia-led forces have opened fire on Ukrainian positions once, near the village of Travneve, using an automatic grenade launcher and small arms," the report said.
