Russia's hybrid military forces on September 21 mounted seven attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire seven times on September 21. The enemy shelled positions of Joint Forces units, using 122mm mortars proscribed by the Minsk Agreements, as well as cannons of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, and small arms," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said on Facebook in an evening update on Saturday.

In the area of responsibility of the Skhid [East] operational-tactical grouping, the enemy fired four times at the positions of the Joint Forces near the villages of Vodiane and Lebedynske.

Another three attacks were reported in the Pivnich (North) sector outside the villages of Pivdenne and Novozvanivka.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 19 times on September 20. The enemy opened fire from proscribed 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, and small arms.

Three members of the Joint Forces received wounds of varying severity, while another one sustained a combat-related injury.
