Russia's hybrid military forces on October 12 mounted 23 attacks on Ukrainian Army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded.

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 23 times on October 12. Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded as a result of enemy shelling," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said on Facebook in a morning update on October 13.

The enemy opened fire from proscribed 120mm and 82mm mortars, antitank guided missile launchers, cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, and small arms.

Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the towns of Maryinka and Zolote, and the villages of Vodiane, Novohnativka, Taramchuk, Pyshchevyk, Shyrokyne, Verkhniotoretske, Bohdanivka, Slavne, Novoluhanske, Mayorsk, and Luhanske.

"Since midnight, Russia-led forces have opened fire on Ukrainian positions twice near the villages of Novoluhanske and Pivdenne, using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and rifles," the report said.
