Militants shelling ATO troops near Horlivka from Grad: 2 dead, 9 wounded
An hour after the first fortification facilities near the town of Horlivka were commissioned, Russian-backed militants started shelling the positions of the 30th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which two soldiers have been killed and nine have been wounded.
TV Channel 112.ua reported this with reference to Deputy Chief of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's regional branch in Donetsk region Ilya Kiva.
"A massive attack on the positions of the 30th brigade began one hour after our arrival and in fact the official commissioning and transfer of fortification facilities [near Horlivka] to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Two soldiers have been killed and nine have been wounded. The shelling is continuing now," Kiva said.
According to him, the Ukrainian positions are being shelled from the enemy's Grad multiple rocket launchers.
On May 7, 2015, the Ukrainian military commissioned the first facilities of fortifications in a strategically important direction near the militant-held town of Horlivka in eastern Ukraine.
