Russia's hybrid military forces on January 23 mounted 11 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action.

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire 11 times on January 23. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in enemy shelling," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said on Facebook in a morning update on January 24.

The enemy opened fire from proscribed 82mm mortars, anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and rifles.

Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the towns of Krasnohorivka and Avdiyivka, and the villages of Talakivka, Opytne, Shyrokyne, Novoselivka Druha, Vodiane, Khutir Vilny, and Orikhove.

"Since Friday midnight, Russia-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions near Talakivka, using a tripod-mounted man-portable antitank gun," the update said.

No Ukrainian army casualties registered on Friday have been reported yet.
