Donbas war update: 13 enemy attacks, one WIA on April 5
Russia's hybrid military forces on April 5 mounted 13 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action (WIA).
"The armed forces of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire 13 times on April 5. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded as a result of enemy shelling," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on April 6.
The enemy opened fire from proscribed 120mm and 82mm mortars, an anti-tank missile system, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and rifles.
Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Kamianka, Hnutove, Starohnativka, Vodiane, Bohdanivka, Khutir Vilny, and Krymske.
According to intelligence data, six Russian occupiers were wounded; two Russian-made Kamaz and Ural trucks, as well as one Zastava UAV were destroyed.
The enemy did not attack Ukrainian positions from 00:00 to 07:00 Kyiv time on April 6.
